Go Beyond the Art of the Exhibition "Joseph Raffael"

Garden Club of Lakeland Will Speak About Flowers

LAKELAND, FL. – Polk Museum of Art invites everyone to go Beyond the Art of its current exhibition, Joseph Raffael, with a presentation by Pat Shira, President of the Garden Club of Lakeland, on Saturday, March 13, at 1:00pm.

The exhibition Joseph Raffael features 10 extremely large scale paintings of flowers from the artist's home garden in the south of France. For this presentation, Shira will be talking about the role the Garden Club plays in the Lakeland community and how club members use flowers and plants to foster a welcoming and supportive environment at various Lakeland locations. In addition, she will show examples of how the Garden Club utilizes the beautification aspect of flowers in various Lakeland parks and will present different ideas of how one can incorporate this element at home.
